Yeah, I did the same. If VM introduces any new phone models this year, I will definitely wait until Black Friday to make an upgrade.

About the sale...every radio shack I've checked in my area was out of stock and they weren't sure if they were getting any more or not. I resorted to buying mine off of Amazon for 225 shipped. just got it today (!!!!)

one radio shack i went ot the last day of the sale refused to sell me 2 (one for me and one for wife) unless i activated there. didnt have time i was on lunch break. never heard of having to activate in store (i purchased my optimus v from the same store without activating). they said cause people resell them for a profit. wtf who cares what i do with my phone? plus they said they have to sell me insurance or airtime. neither of which i needed. anyway they lost a $500 sale over nonsense. of course the next radioshack i went to only had one so the wife had to wait!

You should've asked to talk with a manager (if you didn't). Unless they specifically said somewhere in the ad limit to 1 per person they can't do that. And activating in store is BS anywhere for me anyways. Its just as easy to activate online. It might have been some new cashier or something that didn't know what they were doing. I mean unless it was a manager . Anyways good luck getting another one!
