With all the issues out there, it might be hard at times to like the phone. But I really want to see the other side and hear what Triumph owners love about the phone! Personally, I like the aesthetic appeal (the shape is a good minimal design for me).. though I know that's superficial. But screen size comes first for me. My apologies I didn't include something like the camera (if you have a good one or something I mean!) or whatever else but this thread will serve a purpose for that, too!

The MT has a lot going for it actually:

- Noise-canceling mic
- Voice call quality
- Stereo speakers
- 4.1" screen size & clarity
- Touchscreen response (except for the occasional glitch).
- Overall speed & power efficiency.
- Easy to root & install custom recovery.
- 1GB internal storage for apps

I love:

  1. The screen size
  2. The processor
  3. The amount of internal memory (for apps, etc.)
  4. How easy it is to modify/root/hack
  5. That we have a good community here to help out (both general questions/help and some awesome developers).
  6. That it is super affordable.

Ditto!

I love:
I did pick the the screen ...but
#1 is def this phone on a plan for $35/month (cant beat it)

-screen size
-5mp camera w/ flash
-even if its not the best a 2nd front facing camera (skype)
-800 x 480
-hdmi
-style/design
-processor
-nice interface/no motoblur
-supports flash
-pinch to zoom
-decent memory

wish list:
-2.3*
-wifi hot spot support
-camera button

I like paying $25 plan, the armv7 snapdragon processor, lots of internal storage, and large screen. The only thing I wish there was, is instead of capacitive buttons actual push buttons...

The only other device I can compare it to personally is the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant, becuase thats what I had before I went to VM with the OV then switched to the Triumph.

compared to the SGSV, its much better.

CM7 runs on it (when I had the SGSV, cm7 was broken... badly)

HDMI out that the galaxy didnt have, even if it doesnt work in CM7, it works in 2.2 and thats good enough for me. the galaxy had video out thru the headphone jack and it was awful.

my friend has my old vibrant, and when I got my triumph i did a comparison. I noticed the screen, while being only 0.1 inch bigger, was still noticable.

also, the LCD versus Amoled showed off the "screen door" effect of the galaxy, each pixel felt kind of seperated and text looked awful.

at first, my friend, who hadnt used a LCD screen android phone before, thought mine was retina or at least HD class, but its the same resolution.

I do like that the shape of the triumph is unique enough to be its own phone, fits nicely next to any phone from the entire Droid line, and definately doesnt copy the iPhone.

Believe it or not, besides what was posted above, GPS.
I use it for 10 to 12 hours a day. I am a truck driver in NY state and
it works great in the Buffalo, Rochester areas.

That we have a good community here to help out (both general questions/help and some awesome developers).

This is awesome

+1.

After installing MIUI and custom kernel it is both powerful and beautiful.
Beats the sh*t out of any Ipod :D

The only things I DON'T like about it:
-There is no extended thickening Chinese battery kit for it, like there is for $20 for the OV.
-The gps lock on my OV worked amazing, even indoors.
-Can't speak too much about the photo quality (without flash that is).
Has anyone taken any amazing photo on it?

You do have a valid point on the GPS. Our phone hasn't been working right since day one. I think even Tickerguy said that this phone had something broken at the hardware level, and to fix it would require some serious coding.
