i guess it somewhat answers my question but does this mean its just a regular LCD i just recently got my mom an Optimus Slider and i have to say the colors on her phone are way more vivid and solid

A plain ol' TFT LCD screen... nothing special...
That sucks.....i mean its not bad but its not amazing......

The slider has 16m colors and the MT only has 262k?!?!?! Wow... That sucks... And they're both TFTs... Wow.

I just have the habit to do this.

i bought the Slider for my mom since she can't live without a physical keyboard and i have to say its a beautiful Phone :)... im going to start development on that phone as well ive already made a Deodexed Rom since nobody else did :D

It's actually a draw :) Plus you got S-LCD

Maybe it's a draw in the amount of colors... But it beats everything else. Higher resoultion and pixel density.

So you gonna make the same roms for it then? lol although too bad the MT and Slider don't have the same resolution then you could easily use the same .pngs without resizing them anyways.

yeah lol i was just thinking of making anything i wanted or if anyone had request then i could do that

Dunno I think the screen on the Triumph is awesome. Looks better than my friends Droid 4 which has a 960x540 display or something like that.

Or maybe it's just because your used to the screen on the MT... I mean personally I like LCD and Super LCD screens better than amoled screens because they look weird to me.

Dunno, for some reason side by side, it was a lot easier for me to see individual pixels on his display, which really bugs me. It also doesn't make that much sense since his screen has a higher pixel density...but whatever

The only problem I have with this phone is the gps...but that's for another thread

the triumph screen isnt the greatest by far, but it has a good subpixel layout with minimal space between them.

its sharper than similar screens in its class (similar, so same tech, not super lcd or etc)

i HATE amoled. I had that on my galaxy S vibrant and it looked like watching thru a screen door.

I remember getting the triumph how it seemed to clear compared to the sgsv

my friend with a sgsv as well thought the triumph had a HD screen for awhile until he saw the specs.

The ppi is great, i have no complaints. color reproduction is fine on my own, but my friends triumph has a strong blue tint with more light bleed (light coming from black pixels)

That's all very true. I hate amoleds too. They just look really unnatural to me compared to LCD screens. My MT has a blue tint on the screen although I never noticed it, until I got my MT4GS which has a super LCD and it is very noticeable compared to it I was surprised. But the MT has decent pixel density and resolution for the size of it. IMO LCD are one of the best screens.
