Root Trouble installing SafeStrap

I rooted with Super One Click 2.3.3

Then I downloaded SafeStrap 1.08 from Hash of Codes: Downloads

I installed SafeStrap on my droid and clicked the "Install Recovery".

It claims it "Installed Successfully", yet the Recovery state never canges from "Not Installed".

Upon reboot I have never seen the new/additional splash screen the instructions describe.

Am I missing something here?

If you rooted with SOC, I'm going to assume you're not really rooted...
As far as I know, SOC doesn't work on newer Moto devices.

Follow the root instructions here to make sure you have rooted correctly, and try again.

Thanks, that did the trick. Now when I click "Install recovery" it takes longer and the status now reads "Installed".
