Root Trouble loading SuperUser

Lurker
Hi all,

First-time rooter, on an Incredible 2. I've successfully followed the instructions to downgrade to 2.3.3, then achieved S-OFF and installed CWM Recovery.

After going into CWM Recovery to load SuperUser, I run into problems. Here's what I've done:

-Acquired su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip as indicated by this guide: http://androidforums.com/incredible-2-all-things-root/396098-how-root-gingerbread-2-3-3-a.html

-Copied to /sdcard/su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
-Reboot into CWM Recovery
-"Install ZIP from sdcard"
-"Choose ZIP"; select su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
-Confirm install-- say "yes"

At this point, I get the following message:

-- Installing: /sdcard/su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:/Can't open /sdcard/su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.

Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

I thought the same thing-- tried redownloading from the same site, then also checked a mirror. In all three tests, I get the same message.

Edit-- AHA! I tried another mirror (this time from XDA Developers) and this time it worked.

I dont know what browser you used but i cant hardly dl anything with IE9 without it showing as corrupt or damaged. Use FF and all is well.
