Root Trouble making calls?

So, i'm running the same setup as i've been running for months now, (MNR 1.4.8, ENG HBOOT) and all of a sudden since two or three days ago I haven't been able to place/receive phone calls. Even to check my voicemail, it takes over 45 seconds to connect and hear that lovely "please enter your password". I've been thinking it may have something to do with this update they're pushing through, but I figured it would have worked itself out by now, alas still acting up. I tried flashing Harmonia to update profile and PRL, but no help. Any ideas on how to remedy this annoying situation? Any help is appreciated!

Since nobody else replied, and I'm not sure what's going on, I'd say it's still the network upgrade. For me, I keep losing signal after sending a text, and calls still do not connect many times. Personally, I think it's still the network upgrade, so give it a couple more days. Though three days is a lot.

Wow i thought it was just a local thing (im in se MN) but i just got off the phone with virgin mobile and they said its do to the high call volume so what is update your taking about ????

I'm having the same issues, ne mn. takes about 20-60 seconds to make a connection and apparently people are having difficulty connecting to me. so, is harmonia the only way to update prls? I really don't want to have to go and reflash my hboot just to do that. I'm running the last prl update and the latest radio on a mobstergunz Rom. If the issue is network related, any reason I should go ahead and do it?

I tried flashing Harmonia to update those things, didn't make a bit of difference.

Well I called virgin mobile again today with this issue and they stated that they are upgrading the network and that a tower was down in my area. this is what i had suspected, but they didnt have any idea when the upgrades would be finished.

I've been having a little bit of a different issue. I can make calls, but the other person can't hear me. Sometimes they can hear me at first and then ill fade to nothing. I tried different ROMS and even the stock on to no avail. I'm going to give Virgin a call tonight and see what they say.

well, i was thinking of calling them too, then I realized I can't even make calls now, I paid my bill yesterday and now it's telling me my phone isn't even activated. I've just had it over my head with this piss poor service.

Just a shot in the dark, but perhaps it might help if you reset your phone with the network, or did you try that already? At least it shouldn't hurt trying. Dial ##25327#and click menu, reset

I tried that, I was using ViperROM at the time and it screwed everything up, really disabled my phone. I had to call customer service via my gmail on my laptop and they got my MSID reconfigured thankfully (had to flash Harmonia first obviously). Still no luck with the phone connecting on calls, they created a ticket and they say they're looking into it. Makes me wonder what happened to the ticket they created a week ago today... :shot:
