Root Trouble Scrolling in Stock Recovery

Hi all,

I was having trouble booting my phone after setting it on the charger. After enough trouble shooting I decided to SBF (was running Liberty current release) and after successfully getting it to take, I was getting hung up at the 'M' logo and it would just hang. I've had this problem before when flashing between ROMs and I needed to wipe data/cache to fix it. The problem I'm having now is that my volume buttons will not toggle/scroll through the options and I can only select to reboot now or apply update.zip.

Also, to get to Stock Recovery I need to press and hold power, home and search as the normal power & home combo does not work. Once I get the exclamation I then have to press volume down and search together to get into the menu. I'm sure that this must have happened to someone else before. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to scroll down past update.zip to get to wipe data/cache options?

Thanks.

Ive never heard of such a messed up situation. If it was happening to me I think id redo the SBF and make sure I was flashing the correct sbf file.

from what im understanding here, is that you are coming from a fresh sbf install, and your on the .340 sbf file

you do not need to use the vol down button, and search,
just the search button enters into recovery

and you cannot use your volume keys to actually scroll through it?

have you dropped the phone numerous times? does it have a protective case?
try using an object to push the volume buttons maybe its not registering, and you need to compress it completely, let us know something soon
