I'm having trouble sending emails out from my captivate.....I can receive emails just can't send anything out. This just startedvabout 2weeks ago I did nothing different to my phone. Called AT&T and they couldnt help me and they called samsung and they r saying I might have to reset my phone and I really don't want to do that so someone help me please!!

Mine is doing the same thing. I also had problems not receiving texts for a couple of days and had to remove the battery and sim card , I wonder if there's some relation somehow?

Master reset. The aspirin for the great unwashed. Present AT&T or Samsung with a question they don't have a scripted answer for and they pull master reset from you know where.
Don't know if this'll make a difference since problem may be with the system rather than the device, but try K-9. If it doesn't help, at least it'll isolate the problem to the system.
