Root Trouble with Chevy 1.2ULV Kernel

I seem to have intermittant locking up issues during extended periods of higher loading. I also have random quits from the Browser when tring to watch something on YouTube (embedded in a message board post, for example).

On the "stock" BBv.04 800MHz kernel, everything worked fine.

Right now I am using Chevy's 1.2GHz ULV kernel.

Should my next step be to the 1.1 or 1.0 ULV kernel, or the 1.2 LV kernel?

Battery life is important, but I want to cut don on the freezing under heavy use (when playing Pandora while using Navigation, that does it every time).

Flashing kernels is such an easy task (no real need to wipe - just have a backup if something really goes wrong) you have nothing to lose trying all the choices that catch your interest. Kernels with different ROMs and different phones all behave differently (at least in my experience). Any time I think I have a set formula for things working I am always proved wrong. I would try the 1.1 first and then work my way down if there are stability and battery issues. Try some of the non-Chevy choices. You never know...
 
Your phone probably can't handle either the ULV, or the 1.2. You need to go up in voltage, or down in clock speed.
 
From what I've seen, if the voltage is too low it just bootloops, so I would try clock speed decrease before going up in voltage because lower voltage is definitely a nice thing to have.
 
Swapped to the 1.1ulv and ran a setCPU sress test. 15 minutes and not a single error. The 1.2 rebooted at the 13 minute mark and I had assumed that was normal. No boot loops either. Looks like I found a winner!

Thankfully, with Astro, I was able to swap kernels while my wife is trying on clothes. Awesome.
