Help trouble with lock screen

Ok I noticed a while back that the Phone icon was no longer on my lock screen. so i went into my settings for the lock screen and there was no option to make the phone one of the apps for the lock screen. its gone for some reason. I can make it any other app but not the phone... anyone have any idea or fix for this?

I feel like I have had this issue too, I think I was on a rooted ROM? Do you have a custom ROM right now?

nope all stock...

Hmm. Either try resetting the phone, Battery Pull, or downloading a new dial, there are a few in the market.

theres an app installer on xda that will install it for u so u have the option to add it to the lockscreen. search phone dialer.apk
