Help Trouble with portrait/landscape mode?

Sometimes my phone will seem to get stuck in either mode, and can only be fixed by rebooting the device. So far I have had to reboot at least twice a day. I have auto-rotation enabled in the settings menu, and disabling it makes the device go back to portrait, but for most apps I can't have a landscape mode when I do this.

Is this a known problem with this rom/phone/OS etc.? I've had a Droid/Droid X and neither exhibited this problem.

I've had it happen once. I installed launcher pro and it hasn't happened since.

I've been using LauncherPro since I bought the phone.

Mine does this also but I have never had to reboot. I just exit the app then go back and it's fine.

What app causes the problem for you? I can't seem to pin it to any specific app since it happened even before I installed anything from the market.

mostly gmail

Edit: It happens with or without launchers.

I'll try and force close Gmail when I run into the problem again.

I don't have to force it. I just go back to the home screen with the home button and thats it.
You may have a faulty phone. try a restore from the privacy settings.

I do not have this problem at all on my verizon xperia play.

I dont have launcher pro or any widgets installed.

I found my problem app. Google Sky Map.

Every time I quit the app, I get stuck in the last mode the phone was in. If I force stop the program to try and fix the problem, the phone restarts. Very weird.

I have Launcher Pro installed on mine with auto screen rotation enabled. I had this happen once after playing a game for a while with it in landscape mode. It was stuck in landscape mode for everything and anything I did. The only way to fix it was to reboot. I also have Google Sky Map installed and wonder if it might have been working in the background.
