I have an unlocked Incredible 2 that I was using on Verizon's network but I haven't used it in over a year as I up graded to a LG G2. I am going to Europe soon so decided to send away for a European Sim card to put in the Inc 2 but I can't get the phone to work with the new Sim. I talked to VZW tech support for over an hour but they were no help other then telling me the Sim card must be bad. I talked to the company I got the new Sim from and they told me because it's a phone that was used on Verizon's network they (VZW) set it up so you can't use it in the US on a GSM networkto keep you from switching to ATT even if the phone is unlocked, they told me once I get to Europe the phone will work fine, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this.

I the fact that its unlocked should just work fine with it. If they told you the SIM be used on a GSM network, then it means its not unlocked properly. It should work just fine with any network and any SIM. May you can try to get it unlocked afresh since its been idle for a year?
