Help trouble with the htc inspire!

My girlfriend just got her htc inspire today and it is already broken. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

okay this is what happened she was talking on the phone with her mother when the phone dropped the call and started rebooting itself over and over again. then it brought up a menu with options like fast boot, recovery and a few others. anyways shut the phone off and turn it back on and it would just stay froze on the htc screen and now it wont even turn back on.

anyone else have these issues or have any suggestions on how to fix it?

shes on the phone with at&t now and it sounds like they are doing the normal cs bs. please help!

If its under her 30 days she should be able to just return it. Where did she buy it? Att store or online or phone order, costco, bestbuy?

Oh and have you tried pulling the battery, put it back in the hold power and vol down to reboot. once you see the htc screen then a menu of options should come up I believe you use vol down button and go to factory reset (note all data on the phone will be erased)
