This is probably a crazy idea and I have no idea how to move it forward, but a thread that is trending here got me to thinking. (uh-oh)
There is a thread titled "Does anyone have a vzw gnex without problems?". There are many people replying that their phones work perfectly. I thought, man, I wish they could come to my office and sit where I sit so we could compare reception and network performance.
How cool would it be if there was a GNex user registry, perhaps organized by state or media market, where users who are having reception issues could request a meet-up with a "GNex Buddy" in their area to do side-by-side comparisons. The registry would consist of GNex owners who have no issues with their device.
I'm still not sure if: A.) I have a bad (second) device (reception) B.) If we all have under-performing radios in our devices but network coverage is stronger in some areas masking the issue C.) Verizon's 4G coverage map is bull spit.
Anyhow, if someone in the Clearwater, Florida area has a GNex that works indoors and outdoors, with killer 4G reception, PM me. Lunch is on me.
