Looks like this won't work on the Droid since it requires a SIM card and GSM service. Verizon/Droid runs on CDMA, looks pretty cool though.

I call international often, and those rates seem pretty high. I assume you have checked out using Google Voice for international calling, there rates are the cheapest I have found and it is what I use when I can't use skype.

This does look interesting if you call Australia or Japan, but I have not compared the rates with Google Voice.

I use TruPhone when I have only WiFi and no cellular coverage.

1) works great for outgoing calls
2) does not receive calls except from other TruPhone user accounts

It really solved my problem which was that I was going to be spending a lot of time at a house where there is no Verizon service, but I wanted to be able to make outgoing calls on my phone.
