try my luck or wait?

Yea for the sake of coverage. But the design doesnt have the problem like the evo v has with the radio issue. May be dumb thinking but couldn't we flash their radio since they are running ics and have 4g wimax as well?

Similar software, completely different hardware though.

These are the monthly 4G, but I see that they also have these value package deals. Basically the same idea, but, if you need more minutes, there's an option for unlimited talk + text, 2 GB of 4G data ($60- pre tax), or $50 for the same, but 500 minutes. Hmm. I'd maybe look into those.

Except value packages require 2 year contract even though they aren't subsidizing the phone.

For me the 300 mins on Virgin was enough, and where I'm going to be they have very good to excellent signal everywhere. With the $30 plan if I manage myself more carefully in terms of minutes (I use Google Voice via Gmail all the time now) I should be fine, and can always top up when necessary on minutes, so that's what works for me. Just depends on how many minutes you guys need at this point really. The 5 GB of data at HSPA+ 21 on the Nexus is gonna rock for me.
