Root Trying Firefly ROM - Cant access Clockworkmod Recovery through ROM Manager

HI there I'm trying to flash the latest Firefly via ROM Manager but for some reason, when it tries to go to the Clockworkmod Recovery boot, it doesnt show up (I get the stock SAmsung recovery screen). I've tried re-installing the packages with zero luck.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be awesome.

Thanks

Oh, and when I try to do an install of Firefly directly from ROM Manager, after it asks me to reboot, it goes directly to the Android system recovery screen...

Ok, when you opened up rom manager, did you press "flash clockwork mod recovery" and then press "captivate"?

Yes. Prior to that though, I used the older method of renaming the clockworkmod.zip file as "update.zip" and copying it over to my internal sd. Then that didnt work so I used the ROM Manager process instead, to no avail.

Yeah, I've tried that a couple of times now. Doesnt work for some reason. The phone works fine, I just cant seem to install Firefly due to that error I'm seeing.

When I look on my sd card, I have an update.zip file, and I have a clockwork mod folder that has a recovery-update.zip file

Are you on eclair right now? Because it sounds like you can't install any rom right now, not just firefly.

Ok, before we try this, do me a favor and pull the battery cover off the back of your phone, pull the battery, and tell me the 4 digit number underneath s/n. For example, my phone is 1007.

I don't think your phone is rooted right now. My best guess is that you should flash back to stock, root, and then install rom manager.
