After 2.5 gigs they'll supposedly throttle the connection speed, from what I've heard it doesn't matter if it's 3 or 4g, just 2.5gb of data in general. I could be wrong tho lol

thanx bro but i need to kno for sure.... dont want no misunderstanding... the rep said they throttle u to 2.6 or 2.5... one of the two... which isnt tht bad

After you use 2.5 gigs of ANY type of data (3G OR 4G), only your 3G data will be throttled. 4G is unlimited, because Sprint's contract with Clearwire has unlimited bandwidth, or something like that.

Just be prepared, like was posted above after 2.5 Gb even on 4G if you are forced to use 3G you will be throttled to 256 kb down until your plan resets.

It seems to be hit or miss, some months I've gotten the text telling me that I've gone over and other months I haven't. Usual Virgin inconsistencies. Especially with this being a new phone I'm sure their playing catch up. :-)
