The way i did it was thru an app called flash gui idk if its in a thread in here somewhere or if its in android market but it worked for me the icon looked like a blue lighting bolt. Hope this helps.

Edit: its in the android market for $.99 or you can google " flash image gui free download" and the first result is an sdk site and they host it for free with a thread about the app. thats all i got. good luck.

You didn't say that you put the recovery.img on the sd card. You need both the flash_image.img and the recovery.img.

ok so tried it with the flash image.img like a plus said and received same results am i extracting the files incorrectly or should i go with misleadb4 option and if so is that an easier way to do it?

I was new to this too and had problems getting into recovery. I used this guide (by EddAndInn) and followed it step by step and all went well.

GUIDE

Hit the thank you on the guide posting if it helps. Good Luck.
