Help Trying to update S2 to JB - need help

So here's the deal, I have such S2 (GT-I9100):

PDA: I910XXLPH
PHONE: I910XXLPH
CSC: I9100XALPH
Build number: IML74K.XXLPH
Android version: 4.0.3

Since it's unlikely (I presume) that my phone will update anytime soon, I'm trying to update it myself. My knowledge about update process is very limited, but I'm trying to learn. Currently, I need at least abstract steps what to do to accomplish this (details or links to such information also would be welcome).

I've found two tutorials:

http:// android.sc/update-the-samsung-galaxy-s2-with-official-android-4-1-2-xxlsk-jelly-bean-firmware/ (very detailed, seems very good)

Nevertheless, according to Firmwares | SamMobile, a phone with my firmware has to be downgraded to Gingerbread (don't know why).

I've also thought about changing CSC to regions where update is eligible (this would save me the trouble of changing the firmware), but I'm not sure whether it's possible / works.

So, could anyone give me tips / steps about what do I have to do to get JB ?

As silly as it sounds, I overlooked the info about changing CSC. Will definitely try that at soon as possible.
