tTorrent Lite Available On Market

It's pretty much uTorrent on your phone. Very impressive. The lite version is limited to 100kb dl, but it works flawlessly. You can use it either on WiFi or 3G.

The full, paid version (no dl cap) is only available through a SlideMe process; and it seems that there are some issues with completing the transaction from some of the comments made on the designers website.

Definitely something I'd pay $2.50 for once the payment process gets worked out.

I'd recommend it. For me, something like this puts the phone more into a micro-tablet category. Very useful app.

Is this thing just like utorrent? If so, do you go to sites like PBay, etc? Doesn't this open you up to viruses?

It's similar in funtion to utorrent. I suppose that it may open you up to viruses (if there are android viruses?), but I guess that would depend on what you're downloading and where you're downloading it from.

If you're worried, there are anti-virus software you can install. I'm currently using Lookout, but mostly for the backup and locate utilities it provides.

Be smart whenever surfing the interwebs.

This nor any other torrent app has worked for me. What am I missing? And doesn't verizon block bit torrent?

There are throttle blockers which may work for you (search your phone's Root forum). I also just use torrent downloaders over wifi without any issue.

This thread was moved from the Incredible forum, and as I've mentioned before it worked just fine for me on my Verizon phone.

I've been able to successful download files both on wifi and 3g.

What phone do you have?

I've used AndTor a few times in a pinch and it's worked fine. I swear I got it from the Market, but now it's apparently not there?? Works over 3G, WiFi and WiMax if you can find it.

I have an incredible, and I've tried using over wifi! Could the issue be that the wifi I'm using has a port open for utorrent?

This bad boy is now available for purchase via paypal for $2.99. I went for the full version, and it's awesome. Download speeds are right up there with desktop when on wifi and 3g speeds aren't too shabby. I've been waiting for a good client, and this is it.

Happy DLing

Ok so I used tTorrent to dl two files and both files have a preview saying I must go to real.coralplayer.com to download a player to play this movie. Why can't I just play it with a media player? Anyone have experience with this? I would like to play the video on my phone or the ps3
Thanks

Need some help with this...
I've downloaded an album and can't play it, or find it for that matter. Found when connected to my PC, but in .FLAC format. What do I need to do to play these songs?
on an Incredible

It is very good for anyone wondering.

To the user above, yes, you can. Simply go to your normal torrent downloading site such as isohunt.com or demonoid.me and select download torrent. Once done, it should say something like "Open with which app". Select "tTorrent" and it will open.

The only thing I haven't been able to do is select which files in the torrent I can and cannot download. Anyone been able to do this yet like on uTorrent? Alot of times, I will only download the video and nothing else in the torrent, so I like the function. I'm on the lite version.

I recommend it for any torrent users who have an Android phone. I'm running out of room on my 16GB sd card though so I'm going to upgrade to the 32GB. If you want to find where the files are located on your phone, use this app "ES File Exp..." or any file search for your phone for that matter. The ES one (can't remember the full name of the app and it's not showing the full name on my phone) allows you to delete, copy, do all you can on your computer for the phone.

Yeah I wish it had the option to choose the files you want to download. I have the full version.

Also, when downloading a large file (over 700mb) does anyone else have a problem with the download speed? I cant get passed 1 kb/s. If I download a 100 mb file I will easily average around 600 kb/s which is awesome. Any suggestions?

I've downloaded a few files over 700mb and nothing changed in the download speed. I have downloaded files over wifi, 3G, and 4G that were over 700mb. Which way of downloading are you using?

Actually, I believe it's a new update, but now I am able to choose which files I want to download and which ones I don't. Now it's perfect! :D

Check your settings. My friend was having problems downloading files and we changed up the settings a bit and it seemed to work fine thereafter.

Not to be a dick but I am curious as to what torrents you guys are downloading that would make you rather use your phone than a computer??? I download a lot of music and occasional movies, but I like to sift through the albums/mixtapes and keep the songs I like. For movies I typically dont watch them on my phone. I used the old ABTC app and and what not for phone torrents, but if I dropped 3g and went to edge I was screwed.

Hahaha, well I mean you can't always be at your computer. And then on top of it, I have friends who don't have computers yet have Android phones and CONSTANTLY beg me to download stuff for them. So I told them about this app so they could quit bugging me all the time. And then, sometimes I'll be out on the job (I have alot of free time at work) and want to watch a movie or something, so I'll download it right there on the spot. Other times, I see or hear a song I really like and want it right then and there and will download it. I know I could write it down or even on a note inside the phone, but there's no need because I usually forget when I get back to the house.

But yeah...that's me anyway, don't know about others.

Now you can choose the files within the torrent.

If you have not enough space, you need a bigger SD card.

The Pro version is already available on the market.

i can download albums fine which is what i want to use the app for. however when i play the album the songs don't play continuously one after the other, i have to manually select a song every time i need to change it. this makes it hard to use when jogging. does anybody know how to make them play continuously? and if not what is another website or app i can use to get free albums or even individual tracks?

Tbh torrented albums play fine for me. Maybe its the music player app you have to change mate
