Help Turn down sound on mic?

Is there a way to turn down the sound for the in-call mic? I already suffer from poor call quality, but when talking to my wife, she always comments that she can hear the radio and the air conditioner fan in the car.

i don't think so; the only suggestion i could offer is to hold it such that the palm of your hand below your ring and pinky finger cups around the base of the phone where the mic is

I would think thats more of the mic sensitivity than it is the in-call volume. The in-call volume, you can adjust with the volume rockers. The sensitivity, you cannot, without physically blocking the mic.
