Turn off automatic updates

Two Wire

Lurker
I have a new Samsung S4 on which I would like to turn off the updates. I have done a search and do not find any options in the app manager under Play Store that matches these described in the searches I have found dealing with this issue. I have an ATT phone. Help here would be appreciated.

Thanks

Go to the play store then press the phones menu button and choose Settings. In there you will find an option that says Auto-update apps. Choose that and you should see the Do not auto update apps option.

Thanks for the quick reply. It worked. I would have never figured this out without someone's instructions. Thanks again

Okay, the only place I can go is "Devices" and the setting there only allows me to change the name of the device or click a box to no longer show devices I no longer have (it won't let me remove the devices I no longeer have, which I hate. But, tht's another story). I see nowhere I can change the settings of how the apps are controlled.
