turn off turn on ?

yes , so it can shut down say midnight then turn itself on at 6 am

not much point in it using battery while im asleep is it
yes i can maualy turn it off/on , but who remembers to do that ?
 
It can't auto turn on. Because it hasn't got a standby mode. So when its off, its really off.

There may be apps to shut it down though but I'm not sure if that requires root.
 
Why not just plug it in when you are asleep? (I'm not trying to be a smarta** ) :)
I don't know of any setting that will turn the device off/on at scheduled times :(

im not going to root this phone as i dont think i need to , im happy with stock so far .
sg3 is far better than my old rooted htc desire .
was only rooted for apps to sd anyway , with the galaxy i dont have to worry about that , great phone
 
There's no setting that will do that. Why don't you just buy a dock charger & put it on your nightstand ? That's what I did & it's always fully charged first thing in the morning. :rock:
 
Im just in habit of plugging in overnight. It doesnt do any harm to the batt' so all youre wasting is a tiny bit of electricity/carbon and most people keep their chargers plugged in anyway in my xperience :)
