Help Turn on with broken power button?

Hi guys, I too am troubled with a broken power button ,n cut flex power cable. My mobile got power off due to low battery. I could not get replacement sparepart to fix it. But luckily a technician got my phone switched on by shortening the loop , by soldering the flex cable lines. After the mobile was switched on successfully, the soldering was removed. I live in bengaluru, India.

So for worst case , u can approach any technician who can try this trick.

I've had this same problem for the past week and there is a really simple fix. Obviously without a power button you have two problems: 1) you can't turn the screen on and off 2) you can't turn the phone on if the battery completely dies or is removed.

Solution to not being able to turn screen on and off
-Download one of the many apps that uses the accelerometer and/or proximity sensor to control the screen

Solution to not being able to power on the phone
-Use "recovery mode" to turn the phone on and then click to restart the phone. Google search for how to enter recovery mode for your specific device, but for the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket you turn the phone off, disconnect the charging cable, and while it's off you press and hold both volume buttons at once. While holding these buttons you connect the usb charging cable and a message pops up telling you to press "volume up" to enter recovery mode or press "volume down" to exit recovery mode and restart the phone. Do this second option. Your phone will reboot and you'll be back to your home screen.

Hope this helps someone!

HEY YOUR SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME.... THANKY MANKY

The top power button on my htc 4G LTE broke off and my phone is now powered off and I can't power it back on. Is there a way to power it back on without the power button???

I have some same issue. My power button is broken so no way to power if phone is switched off. I googled but any proposals didnt work for me. But i got a solution.
when i plug in charger i press my volume button at same time , which equals to volume+power so it boots to bootloader (boot menu or whatever u call) from there i can reboot Normally by clicking/navigating using volume keys as touch dint work there. Try this may work for u . Just a cure try it in when your battery is charged enough to power may be 5% + or whatever .

The ADB reboot doesn't work, and its 2017, i tried the command "adb reboot" NOTHING! Good job, just f up my phone, now i have to buy a new one.

Hello ,
My father had this problem so all u need to do is :
1.Plug in your mobile phone with your laptop/PC
2.Hold the power button and the volume button down (20 seconds)
3.Within a minute your mobile phone should turn on
4.After that charge your mobile phone (If it isn't charged before)

BUT I tried this with some HTC versions maybe it will not work , but try this anyway
