Hi Just installed this. It's not great. It's fantastic! When I switched from Windows Mobile to Android, I was sad that I wouldn't be able to experience Windows Phone 7. Well, I'm happy now. I love the fact that you can customize it. Thank you dev! I donated so the updates can keep coming. I'd like to be able to use my preferred SMS app in place of the default one. Some of the devs at WM tried to emulate this on a windows phone with less than optimal results, so I was skeptical that this would be very good. I love being proved wrong!

I'm running Velocity 1.0 on LG Ally.

You can use your prefered sms app... notice the above pic.
I use handcent.
Add the tile this way.. from your app drawer long press the sms app you want to use. Then a setup screen appears with more options than just adding a tile from the home screen.
Once you choose the app you can choose additional actions. Choose the sms option.
Notifications on this is pretty cool and large. No mistaking an event.

Oh boy. I wasn't aware you could add shortcuts as well as widgets. It's perfect. Thanks!

It's a nice alternative to the standard launcher, but does anyone know if it's possible to drag and drop or move tiles? When I delete one, it leaves an empty space, but when I add a new one, it adds it to the bottom instead of in the empty space.

Yes, just press it until you see the little black push pin in the upper right corner of the tile then let go and press it again to drag it where you want to put it. That's how I did it.

Yep, I found it tonight when setting up my replacement phone. Very nice, and everything is right there. As for moving widgets Corki has it right. Long press, when the pushpin shows up you have to let go and grab it again then drag and drop.

Thanks Corki. I'm really liking this launcher for a couple reasons. Very easy to organize what you use the most and it's very light on resources from what i've seen. About the only thing I wish it had was a setting for a transparent background for each tile.

It does. Go to launcher settings and click on tile color. At the bottom of the color picker is a transparency setting. Move it to the right for more transparency. Then click on the new color box to set up your new tile "color"

Wow that's pretty handy. I personally like my plain old android interface with the couple of things I use down on the dock but this is really cool for people who want to try the Win7 style.

Alright, so when I first saw this post, I thought this home would be a disappointment. But I went ahead and tried it, and I have to say I love it so far...

:D

I tired it its decent..... still prefer the standard.... but Its nice..... I'm not a big fan of windows...... You know what theme the need next a Linux theme hahah with the command prompt and all... before people start complaining that theres the emulator I know.... I mean that the command prompt is the whole theme and you have to type commands to open apps hahah whos with me :D

How do you add shortcuts? I can only add widgets. It would be nice to add the shortcuts that i had to direct call numbers i use frequently from my home screen instead of going into phone then favorite contacts.

Long press on the app in your app drawer (or list) and you will get the option to add it as a shortcut.

LOVE THIS!!!! I wonder if I can use it with the icon packs I downloaded from the win7theme thread...

**YES! Works beautifully

I'm tryin' Launcher7 and I'm not really digging it. Maybe I'm missing something. Seems too confined, not very tweakable! But hey, have at it!

Anyone else having a problem with widgets/custom buttons not showing back up after a reboot? I was using switch pro, battstat, and digi clock and now they don't even appear under the add widget list.
