Turning it sideway

Okay, when I turn my EVO sideway, why does it take so long for it to go from portrait to landscape mode? Anyway to modify this? Thank.

My Evo changes in about one second. It could be faster, but one second is acceptable for me. I wonder if your phone doesn't have something eating the CPU time?

Have you calibrated the g sensors? Settings > sounds and display > g sensor calibration. Then set it on a flat surface and and calibrate it. See if that helps.

Mine changes in about 1 to 2 seconds. Sometimes it won't especially when I'm lying down, but a little adjustment will make it change. A little inconvenient but you get used to it.
