Turning mobile network off

If u turn mobile network off can u still recieve calls and text messages.

Yes you will. The only time you'll need to turn it on is for a picture text. The phone has a built in widget for mobile network. It wouldn't work right for me so I got one from the market. It's the best way to extend battery life I've found.

What is this app from the market called. And with mobile network off what does it disable the internet or something else.

it disables all data. With mobile off, all you can do is call and text (unless you're on WiFi)

Search toggle data widget. It's an ugly widget but it works well. You can try the stock HTC data widget though, it looks better and I've seen people say it works for them.
