Help Turning off 3g

Hi there, I just purchased a HTC Desire Z. Much cooler than my previous phone.

One issue I've noticed though, is that when I am at home and connected to my wi-fi network, I sometimes still cut over to 3g. Or atleast my internet symbol is sometimes showing 3g, sometimes showing wi-fi.

I downloaded NetCounter, and it seems like all my activity has been through my 3g/data network, and not through my wi-fi.

Is there any reason for this? Is there a way to force it to stay on wifi, or to turn off 3g but leave the wifi on?

you can turn off mobile network by going to:

Menu-> Settings-> Wireless & networks-> Mobile network

Put the Mobile Network widget on one of you home screens and you can turn the feature on/off without going through menu>settings... everytime.

To do that, go to Personaliza>Widget>Settings and choose Mobile Network. Go ahead and add other commonly-used features you want available on the home screen.
