Help Turning off Internet

Fredd

Lurker
Hi.
I recently bought a Motorola Milestone, A.K.A. Droid, and I can't seem to find a simple way to turning off my internet connection on it.
I've googled around and the best solution I found was this app called "Data on Demand" but in order to download it I need to give it access to "System Tools - Write Access Point name settings" and I don't know how to do this.

So in essence, two questions:
1. Is there any easy way to get rid of my constant internet connection without an app?
2. If not, how do I give apps access to that thing I just mentioned?

Try an app called Juice Defender.
This app has many settings for you phone. But i wont get into everything it does.

Once it's installed, it has a widget that you can add to your home screen called Toggle mobile data.

With that widget, you can go through 3 different settings.
1. Data on
2. data off
3. juice defender settings, which is what ever you set it do.
