Help Turning the volume button sound off

Rhod2

Lurker
Hi All,

New to the form and to Android. I've had a search for this issue and found nothing.

When adjusting the volume using the volume buttons on the side of the phone, it makes a beeping sound for each press of the button. This does not happen when the headphones are in.

I have system sounds volume turned to zero.

I'd like to remove this beep when adjusting the volume.

Cheers

I believe it you just hold the button down for either decrease or increase volume, that it just slides the indicator across the screen without making any sounds.
If you want to mute the phone, the easiest method is to just hold the 'Power On/Off' button down until the control screen comes up and then just select the sound setting that you want from the 3 options available.

Welcome to the Android Forums Note 3 sub-forum Rhod2. Interesting question that. I've never heard anyone ask for that before. I couldn't find any setting in the stock system settings controls to do whqat you want so I have to assume you would need a third-party app or maybe need have to root your phone and use a custom ROM with that option included to do that. I have no idea which app or custom ROM to use or eveb if any exist.

Hold power button down and on the bottom row you can touch sound, vibrate or silent. I find doing this when Im trying to silence my phone and not wanting anyone to hear it to be helpful.
