Thanks very much for this. It worked for me on Galaxy Ace.

Could you maybe help in restoring original IMEI? After some "actions" on my phone IMEI is 0000's now. I don't have a network problem, but anyway I would like my IMEI back.

I'm having the same problem like yasumy. I tried to DL superoneclick but when I finish dl it my antivir detects malware and automatically delete it. what should I do? is superoneclick harmful to my laptop and phone? rrply asap thanks :)

I try also turning off my firewall but still when I try to extract the zip file it says no archives found or cannot open the file. :( please help me.. I want to unlock my phone..

I have 100% success with my phone. Directions worked like a charm! :)

Hey redDragon,

I had the same problem too when I downloaded superoneclick but was able to get around that.

If the anti-virus intercepted it, then it has been 'quarantined' so check the quarantined list/logs.

The best way to get around it (and any other software download) is to tell your anti-virus software to exclude the folder you're downloading to in the scans. In your anti virus options, there should be a setting or option to ignore/exclude specific files or folders for the scan. If you add your download folder to that "exclude" list, the download should work for you afterwards. What anti-virus software are you using? I did it with Microsoft Security Essentials and it worked fine as I had a similar problem with another file I needed for something else.

Hope that helps!!

If you have the root explorer.apk file, just copy it straight to the folder specified on the SD Card in the directions. Use the regular android file manager from the home screen launcher/apps list to navigate to the folder that has the apk file and tap on it and it should open and install on it's own. Otherwise, if you get a popup, when you launch the apk file, select the "installer" option in the popup and it should work.

Hope that helps

Hi

I have run the universal unlocker on my galaxy mini with the above details. It ran as the instructins sid it would and I got an icon for SU on my phone. I want to change from the

Oh ok - I think I see now. I thought that just using the Universalgb9 was it, but apparently I then go to step 4(after rooting) in the instructions for superoneclick?

This step says:

download Root Explorer 2.16.apk" and install it on your phone.

Whereabouts do you install it? On the sd card? In a particular directory?

ALSO:

as I used universalrootgb9 and not superoneclick I don't have all the stuff in root on my computer that you install if you use superoneclick inorder to do the next few steps. Do I also need to download and unzip superoneclick to get this stuff?

Or am I wrong and the phone should just be unlocked by running Universalrootgb9(which it wasn't) and don't need to do any more of the superoneclick steps?

Thanks Stoneboytony , worked great after I read it through a few times. I used windows 7 and ran cmd as administrator.

ALSO just a hint for tech morons like myself, you won't get the box up to put in the unlock code unless you go back into the settings and turn off Airplane mode, at least thats what I had to do on mine.

Thanks again

hey i have my samsung galaxy y gt5360 i follow the steps that the author provide and i've got this error mount -o nosuid,ro,nodev -t vfat /dev/block/stl5 /rfs mount: Invalid argument

can somebody help me regarding to this error? please i need it badly!!!!

As requested I am here to say thank you.
The procedure worked smoothly on my Galaxy GT-S5570.

As someone else pointed out earlier I had to disable antivirus sw to uncompress successfully the Superclick ZIP.

I did not choose to use Root Explorer but preferred to use X-plore
With this tool, granting with Superuser, read-write access to file system I was able to create the /efs mount point instead of doing it from adb.
then from adb I mounted the /deb/block/stl5 and got the unlock code.

Now my phone is unlocked.

Thank you very much indeed.

next step rooting my I9100
