tv ap

There was a good one but the BBC demanded that a lot of its power and flexibility be removed and, as a result, I think it's disappeared from the market. I've gone back to accessing the BBC iPlayer site through a web browser. It's less than ideal because the BBC are so intent on restricting access to their material, but it does work.

unfortunately no android version of this.

Although no need for it really, as the poster above says: you can watch iplayer through your browser. Fine on the DHD over wifi, wouldn't recommend it over hsdpa unless you have a few million quid lying around to pay for the data.

not all carriers can access iplayer i believe that 3 and vodaphone can access iplayer and the rest wont work.

Switch off mobile view in the browser settings & you'll get the full site version. For some reason they have a limited selection of programmes on the mobile site. (iplayer etc)

With regards to watching over cell data, it is down to provider & resources. I am with o2 & i have watched many programmes using cell data. Usually in the middle of the night (i work nightshift) when demand is low, plus i get a good H signal.
However, i've just given it a try now 8:30am, & all streamed fine (iplayer, tvcatchup & itvplayer).
Not even worth trying if you don't have a 3g signal.

I do recall the odd occasion when i've tried in the day, & got a 'need wifi' message, which is why i think demand is a factor.

I usually watch about 5 hours per week using cell data (on top of general internet usage, youtube etc) & have yet to get charged extra.

I usually use the stock browser, but have used others.

Applies for the supposed Android version of CatchupTV. Always get "can't coonect to stream error" no matter what channel I try

I'm on T-Mobile
