i was wondering if it was at all possible to flash something, make something, or port something that will allow us to connect our phones to an hdtv with an mhl adapter

I'd be shocked if the Optimus was designed to enable MHL video to be output through the USB port. That functionality has to be engineered into the chips when the phone is designed.
