Root TV Out thru 3.5 jack

Has anyone been able to get the TV out to work thru the 3.5mm jack on the Samsung Fascinate?

I am told it will work with 2.2, but have never had an actual confirmation from someone doing it.

I have heard the other phones that have froyo can, but we truely won't know till we get it
