Twitter App

[Unforgiven]

Hi, new guy here

So, I finally signed up for Twitter and was looking for a good Android app for keeping up with things.

I checked out the official Twitter app but the permissions left me quivering under my desk in fear (mainly the access, create, and edit accounts one). I was wondering what you folks were using for a client, why you like it.

Understand, I'm not a poweruser and probaby will never be. Once I get the hang of it I will more than likely use it for information discovery and consumption.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Tweetcaster Pro. The "Zip it!" feature is a godsend for filtering chaff from the wheat.

I use Falcon Pro because I love it's ability to load pictures within a tweet while looking at my timeline rather than needing to open up the individual tweet itself. However the app is somewhat defunct now because it was so popular and kept using up all it's tokens.

Since a recent update, the official Twitter app now loads pictures (excluding Instagram IIRC) in your timeline.

Just tested it out and indeed it does. However it makes my TF700 lag terribly and it force closed twice before it actually worked. Might give it a shot if they iron some things out, but going to stick with Falcon Pro for now.

I just got Falcon Pro up and running. I'll see how it works. If I get the hang of it and use it, I'll go buy the goodies.

Tweedle is okay so far.
Plume's widgets are slow and not worth using.
