Help Twitter Notifications

[OMRSS210]

Hello

I need to know how to get Twitter notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S2 as I can't seem to get any when I receive mentions or messages through twitter. Can someone please help me with this.

Also, I bought the phone from the middle east and I am using it here in Canada but I can't get the latest android version, I tried to do a software update and it is saying that no updates are available. My android version is 2.3.5.

Your help is highly appreciated.

Try this https://support.twitter.com/articles/20169920-how-to-get-sms-notifications-for-tweets-and-activity#
also you have to turn on sms notification when you follow someone,go to their full profile and where it says following, use the dropdown box,and turn on mobile notifications, hope this helps
