Help Two 3.99 GB .thumbdata3 Files in /mnt/sdcard/DCIM

Does anyone know how this is possible if the lg motion only has 6GB of rom space? They don't show up when browsing my phone from the Samba server app, but that's because the . makes them hidden.

Wow!

Now full disclosure here: I have a Nexus 5 and not an LG Motion 4G, but I see those exact same two files in my .thumbnails folder and NOT in the parent DCIM folder like your image shows.

Also, my two files are 34.51 and 34.37 MB.

Do you also have those two files (of smaller size) inside your .thumbnails folder?

I'm in the process of moving things over from my lg motion to the Optimus L70, and stumbled onto this when cleaning things up.

I deleted the .thumbnail folder before checking out it's size. It must have been a glitch of some sort, and I didn't check out the free space before and after.

They seem to be symlinked and/or hardlinked files. I had two 1.4GB thumbnaildata files and deleted them both, still had the same amount of free space left.

Its really weird as the files on are not my 32gb SD card (the lg motion has /mnt/sdcard as internal ROM space) and the files are 8gb but the phone ROM space is 6gb. Root explorer shows which files are links, right?
