It simply means it's time to subscribe to more programs on the Roku, and ignore regular TV. You can read about it online or a real newspaper and toss or turn off the media if you don't like it.
If the ads get really nasty, start complaining to the media station, newspapers, online blogs --- Everyone has a right to their opinion, but a lot of the ads for all sides are getting too sleazy.

I wonder how the onion can legally stay around the way it is, with all the overly sensitive nit wits out there who are ready to be offended and sue.

I can't remember the name of the law, but isn't it legal if it's in a format of a parody?
Yep.
When you do parody/satire you're protected from copyright/trademark lawsuits. This is also how sketch comedies can make fun of companies.
