Help Two Problems on my MS690

CRESC Ent

Newbie
I have noticed two problems on my phone.

One being the compass feature or whatever controls it because using apps like Google Sky I can move the viewfinder up and down but not left and right.

Any suggestions?

And second my phone has 50% time without cell signal. All the time, the number doesn't fluctuate and on my battery usage from the hidden menu it uses more battery than anything trying to find cell signal. Ive seen people post on this problem but their numbers are much lower and fluctuate.

Any suggestions for this one?

Though it doesn't affect the reporting of your battery remainder and usage, the free app called "nobars" will temporarily put your phone into Airplane Mode to conserve battery life when you don't have a mobile signal.

Well its not actually losing signal. I am always in a good cell zone. I have full bars almost anywhere in Jacksonville. And I dont get some of my calls. They go straight to voicemail. Anyone else have that problem?

Yea its the CDMA network...I sometimes have the calls go to VM when using data.

Just like when the new iPhone goes to Verizon, won't be able to make calls when using data.

Same issue.

Okay. Thank you. That explains alot. But is there a reason why it never changes? Cause I cant ALWAYS use it exactly 50% of the time.
