Two questions about TapFish

Midnight, find the folder on here for your phone, and they can help you. Some phomes work better with different methods, so you need to ask so done who has your same phone.;)

Just realized that in Tapfish 2 you can buy fish from neighbor's tanks, as long as they are not bred fish or "event" fish.

I hope we get Tapfish 2 soon--not because of that, but for the other neat stuff.

You can "gift" things to tanks you visit. I went around giving odd little decorations to the tanks I visited. Hope it gives their fish happiness points.

That has broken written all over it. Level one with great whites ftw! Course I jailbroke my tapfish so to speak so it's all fair lol

TreeTank,..... ill start with I just love u. I need your help badly. Ill clean ya tanks out everyday and feed ya fish to...not that ya need my help..lol..o k I went and downloaded those 2 apps. And started the order like it said. Can u tell me what root my phone is and how to do it instructions for a dummy. I googled it and I'm still kinda lost. Can ya please help a girl out...

What kind of phone do you have? I used z4root as its about the only one that works on my Droid2

You can try unrevoked which has some easy roots if you have an Evo phone

z4root worked fine for me though, you should be able to google z4root and install the .APK file

And as was mentioned, it voids your warranty, but it also allows you to run a lot of neat apps, like an AdAware app to get rid of advertisements, as well as Titanium Backup which is THE BEST backup application for switching phones, etc

But the good thing abour z4root and other root programs, is that they allow you to un-root the phone if you need to take it back to your cell provider, or install an OTA (over-the-air) software update.

Today I became a fishillionaire :D -- made my first million coins!!

However, although I'm coin rich I'm still buck poor. Who has bred the new Ranchu fish? I am saving up for that and would liketo see what the babies look like.

I have 23 different Ranchu breeds in my Newcastl tank at the moment, just bred them, along with about 15 actual Ranchu in that tank, they're nowhere near full grown just yet, but feel free to take a look

Since there are more versions of ranchu that can fit in one tank I dropped some in old breeding tanks. Fly High, The Hive, Boxers/Fighters etc. Working on a tank for them as we speak.

And SetCPU which is such greatness. Safe overclock with programmable profiles. A rooted phone is by far a godsend, but the warranty thing is important. So I wouldn't root a phone just for tapfish. Luckily this like the second best android forum online so if you need any info you're already half done just by being here. So if you're serious about rooting you'll find all the information here as well as new things to do with your newly rooted phone.

PS VMheap is such a great addition for tap fish.

Thanks guys.......yeah, some ranchu are pretty but others, like the tiger mix, look like they just cut each fish in half and stuck the different halves together. -tapros
Btw, please sign with your fish name because it's hard to remember whose tank is whose when visiting the neighbors!

I was a little disturbed....I've been visiting all my tanks several times a day but this evening I find dead fish in two tanks. They weren't high-priced so I flushed them......but I don't know how I let them die! I'm worried that some ofthe fish I spent fishbucks on could also kick the bucket.

It's a ****ed up glitch. When away for some reason some fish huddle to a corner to the detriment of self. Half my boxfish breeds died like that. And if you've been to my tanks you find it as ridiculous as I did. Food blocks and algea eaters in every tank lol

Nah, when I see that they eat. But I've come back to dead fish or they'll be hungry so it's like why blow a hundred grand per tank for food blocks.

Your fish definitely shouldn't die if you have food blocks... that's the whole point of them, isn't it??

In my case, I don't have food blocks (except in one tank) but I visit my fish 2 or 3 times a day and feed them if they say they're hungry.. I guess if some hungry fish are hidden off the screen somewhere, I might not see them. I've noticed when I go to sell sometimes that I'm not getting the full happiness points and I can't figure out why. And then some other fish in the tank appears saying it's hungry.

BTW, if you sell in bulk, sometimes the 15% commission will actually cost you all or more of your happiness points. Not for the green snapper, but for the yellow snapper... you get less than its adult value without the happy bonus. -- tapros

It happened again last night. I had JUST finished cycling through all my tanks and on the second trip through I found a dead fish. It's only a green snapper, so no big deal. But still, it shouldn't be happening. Even if I had missed it last time through, I wouldn't have gone for two days without feeding it, since I always feed until I get the fish full message for the whole tank. I've emailed the developers.

Another glitch that still hasn't been fixed is the "move to tank" button on the breeding tanks is still being displayed as "speed up" on all tanks except the first two (I think).

There are currently 30 breedable fish and I calculated a possible 435 combinations based on: (30x29)/2. Please correct my math if this is wrong, as it's been centuries since I took a math class and I don't actually know the formula.

I own all the breedables but am not very far along with the breeding since I only have 6 tanks and one of them is dedicated to re-breeding the highest value fish (currently the Damsel Eagle) for later sale.

However, so far, my most favorite hybrid babies include:
  • Siamese Snapper* - fishlike, beautiful color, and elegant
  • Flashlight Pirhana
  • Flashlight Longnose
  • Allmost all the Eagle Ray breeds
  • The Sailfins are nice, too, but tend to look similar
*Note that my favorites aren't necessarily the most valuable. Siamese Snapper is only worth 700 coins.

My least favorite include:
  • Flashlight Flower - looks like half his head has been bitten off by another fish
  • Most bright purple fish, especially Bumblebee Angler -way too gaudy and cartoony
  • Koi Snapper - quite ungainly
What are your favorites/least favorites?

I hate to admit it, bit I kind of like the bumblebee off-spring. They are cute :D. Look like they have on onesies.

I love all the eagle rays--they are my favorites.
