Root Two simple questions

After flashing Velocity 0.3 onto my phone, I get a message saying that I need an update on my phone and it gives me the option to update now, or update later. If I update now, will this mess up anything?

Also, can I run scrolling wallpaper with velocity? I want to do this:
ClassicalGas: Tutorial – Scrolling Wallpaper 2.0 (Now also for MDPI)

I love the way this looks, but I don't want to mess anything up. I appreciate in the help in advance.

If you chose "update now" the phone will attempt to update, but will then fail because of the custom recovery.

also the wallpaper thing wont mess up the phone

Is there any way to make it stop asking me to update?

There is a clock widget that needs to be flashed in. After I flash it in, how do I get it to come up?

If you hit update now, your recovery will block the install and it'll stop asking you to update. As for the clock just long press on your homescreen and select insert widget. You should see the clock.

That's what I thought too, about the clock, but it's not in there. Maybe it just doesn't work on Allys. In flashed it in twice while in recovery to get it, but I still can't find it anywhere.
