Two weird things in Music app

Help me understand this weirdness. First, several albums I've added to my SGN music library are inexplicably split into two albums. I keep looking at the file details of each song to try to figure out why ICS and/or the Music app thinks they're from different albums, but I can't solve it. They're all grouped in the same folder in the file system, but the app displays them as two different albums of the same name.

Second, why does some of my album art appear and some doesn't? Half my albums display the correct album art and half show a generic picture. What's up with that?

Any bright ideas?

Seconded. Download a free ID3 tag editor and go through all your music. Some good editors will automate most of the steps

I've had this happen. In iTunes (yes I use it because I have an iPod, ugh), they all show under the same album and are thus grouped in the same folders, but upon closer look I could see that the artist was different on a few songs, causing the music player to separate the tracks.

I just fixed the artist names, either in iTunes, using another ID3 tag editor, or in my case I just copied the files to my desktop, right clicked the offending file and selected properties and changed the tag there.
