Root TWRP won't install

Creideiki

Lurker
I unlocked my new 300 and I'm trying to install TWRP and Root. Was trying to follow the guide here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187982) but I did previously take the OTA update from ASUS for 4.2, so I'm not sure if that is the problem or not. Anyway, when I try to install TWRP over USB through the command line it seems to work, but then when I reboot my tablet and hold the down volume button, I get no recovery, it just brings me back to the same screen as before, which reads:
Key driver not found.. Booting OS
Android cardhu-user bootloader <1.00 e> released by "US_epad-10.6.1.8-20130225" A03

Starting Fastboot USB download protocol

Below I see the RCK, Android and Wipe Data icons, but that's it.

If you can get the TF300T into fastboot, you just type fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery twrp.blob in cmd to push the recovery image to the device. Make sure you rename the recovery image to twrp.blob also.

Alright, I did already have the drivers installed, and I downloaded the SDK here (Android SDK | Android Developers) but I'm not really sure what to do with it, and didn't think it was needed according to the guide I was following linked above. I've now also tried this on two different computers, and get the same thing. I'm feeling rather stumped.

Update: Finally read somewhere that you enter RCK to get to the recovery console for TWRP. I was expecting it to just come up instead of everything else. I'm such a newb at this since I've never really done anything further than rooting and removing bloatware on my phone along with using rooted apps and such. Think I should be fine from here. *facepalm*

I thought you were having an issue installing TWRP. I didn't realize you just didn't know how to enter it. I could've told you that :p

Yeah, since I didn't know how to enter it, I wasn't sure it was actually getting installed correctly and that I was doing something wrong somewhere but couldn't figure out what. It was driving me insane. lol

Check out the app called Quick Boot from the Play store. It gives you all kinds of options. After it has been given SU privileges, it will reboot or turn off faster. It also gives you the option to boot directly into recovery or do a hot boot. It's a nice app that I've been using for months now. :D
