Can I make each contact or group of contacts have a different text ringtone instead of all them the same? Also, how do I change the voicemail notification and the txt from being the same?
Open your visual voicemail and press the menu button. Press settings and then notifications, select ringtone. That can make your notification different for your voicemail from your text notification.
I don't know of a way of doing it with the stock Messaging app, but I use Handcent SMS for messaging and it will do that. You can personalize each person completely including notification tone (and even mute certain people), LED notification color and frequency, to colors and font of the message threads.
