I have a rather simple question. Is there any way to get the unlock screen shown here in this video on the droid x?

This video shows the unlock screen I'm looking for on the EVO. Also my home screen still shows phone and other 2.1 stuff. How do I get the new 2.2 look? And yes i did the update.

I use "widget locker" to get that lock screen, and "launcher pro" [home replacmement for the home screen. both have a ton of options for lock type and dock background type. Launchr pro you can get for free but I believe widget locker was a few bucks.

I installed launcher pro, but my lockscreen is still standard, only diff is I lost all my icons on my home screens and got the little thing across the bottom

You have to re-customize your home screens when LauncherPro is loaded.

Download WIDGETLOCKER.

ok so now i have tried lockbot pro, but even though i selected replace default lockscreen I still have that screen and the new ones

I only found out about it a week ago & I love using it.

Root and then delete the htclockscreen.apk then reboot. You'll be greeted with the android lockscreen when the phone restarts.
