Help Typing Speed/ mini-keyboards

Has anyone had any issues with typing speed?

I've come over from years of blackberrys and I thought I would adjust to the big touch screen, but it just won't let me type as fast as I can. It's really frustrating. Predictive text is even worse...

I was just wondering if there's a way to speed of the response of the phone... It's been three months now and that's the one thing that really irks me with the touch screen typing. Everything else is okay (with the exception of multiple email notifications after I already read the email that I received the initial notification to)....

I was also thinking of pairing it up with a mini-keyboard. Has anyone had any success with that, and if so, with what units?

Thanks

Did you try swype? It's got a slight learning curve, but once you get used to it, it's really a nice alternative to picking at the on-screen keyboard.

Also, the Ice Cream Sandwich keyboard on the market is apparently good. It probably has better autocorrect than the stock ones that come with the phone.

Hi-

Yes, I have tried the swype- My wife hated how quickly I was able to use it. That said, it's still not nearly as fast as typing. I'm a seriously fast typist on a physical keyboard like on my old BBs. But this android keypad makes me want to through it out the window. It just can't go as fast as me.

However, I will giver the ICS keyboard a go.

Thanks
