Root Ubuntu on the V?

I've seen Ubuntu running on processors slower than 1ghz on desktops, but then again that's a completely different story. In my opinion I wouldn't do it unless you could go right back to another ROM if need-be.
 
I can be done, but that doesn't mean it should be done. As an experiment, proof of concept, or technology demonstrator, it would be fine. For an actual useable system, it's performance would be far too slow to be useful. Aside from the Debian repositories and building from source, I don't see the benefit when you consider that Android already is a distro of Linux. Of course, to each their own.
