Root Uh oh

Alright I made a bit of mistake and I'm not exactly sure how I fix it.

The mistake is that I was installing a couple of ROMs yesterday, trying out a few that I have never gotten to (I was bored). After playing around with Liberty 1.5, I decided to try out Snowy Blur 1.0 (DrewGaren). I downloaded the file straight onto my phone and "openeed" it into Rom Manager. For some reason when I clicked Wipe Data and Cache and Restart I wouldn't do anything, it'd just close that prompt and stay on the RM homescreen.

So I just booted into CW Recovery, chose install from sdcard, installed snowy blur and then restarted. I never wiped data (which is my problem) so when the phone rebooted the first thing to show is the "Liberty" logo then a random blue orb animation for forever, then when it finally left that, endless prompts giving me errors in the system popped up - voice search the most prominent. I tried clicking force close for around 15 minutes on all these windows but they just kept coming. I then tried to reboot with it plugged in, it just freezes on the Liberty logo.

So I guess I'm asking is what should my next course of action be? I appreciate any help.

The liberty logo didn't go away b/c its a liberty file that is changed that none of the other roms change and doesn't go away with a wipe. I haven't felt like flashing back to liberty and changing it to the stock M and I'm on Apex. doesn't really matter, not hurting anything.

as for your other problems. Def boot into recovery and try to wipe cache/data, if that doesn't clear it, also try wipe the dalvich cache. Sounds like the install didn't complete properly. after wiping try to reinstall your ROM. More than likely you have one set of ROM data corrupting another set of ROM data. If this doesn't work, clear everything again and install the maderstock.zip and you should be back at stock and can go from there.

outside of that, you may have to flash the .340 sbf with rsdlite.

Goodluck!

I should have known better - I was trying to hold down Search and Power :headsmack: for recovery. I feel like I saw that somewhere but I might have been looking at the wrong phone I guess.

Only problem now is to fix up the theme of the ROM (right now it's a mix of both Liberty and Snowy Blur :D)
