UK Nexus Orders 3-5 days now 3-5 weeks.

I am in the UK and I ordered my phone on the 4th Dec just after the system went live, I got an email confirming delivery of 3-5 business days, OK so we roll past a week and the order is still pending in my Google Wallet account.

So I call the number on the bottom of my email and get through to a very helpful assistant, I quote my order details to her and she told me that my 3-5 Business day delivery is now 3-5 weeks :mad: they have not sent me any email that this has shifted though, pretty sure one may come soon though.

Now I cant say for certain if that applies to everyone who was quoted a 3-5 business day delivery email but its not looking good for you if you still haven't got your phone, so what does that mean for folks who were quoted a 5-6 week delivery then? you might want to call to check with them.

This is a pile of sh*t, I am going to cancel the order and get another phone, I am not waiting weeks to get this phone and it has soured my experience with Google to the max.

I am at the point where I would rather pay $$ for the optimus G than deal with this bullshine.

So UK punters who are checking their gmail and wallet status all the time, save yourself the time, get another phone and enjoy xmas. :smokingsomb:

This differs from the verbal response that I had over the phone however of course they could still come back and tell me the same thing though.

At least they seem to want to sort it out I suppose. Good luck! Let us know how things turned out... Hopefully just a glitch.
 
I ordered yesterday afternoon, and received a tracking number this morning.
When I placed my order, I saw they had charged my card right after. It said that my
card would no be charged till it shipped. So, I called them and they gave me some
crap about it being a test charge to see if the card was good. And, I would see that amount refunded soon, now that they had confirmed my card was good??

What was really happening, is they do have the 16gb's in stock, and are shipping them next day. Not sure why they put up this bluff, maybe to keep people from buying the phones in volume and reselling on Ebay.

BTW, I'm in the states.

This is normal for companies to do.
 
Just want to know, how long was you expected delivery time? Just wondering as mine is ordered for 4-5 weeks. Want it by Xmas but am unsure if this will happen!
 
Ok. So i ordered the 8gb version at 5 30. This was 20 minutes after it was back in stock. It had 4-5 weeks estimated delivery. I got an order confirmation after an hour, then after a day my order had been recieved by google. By the third day it was shipped and i was charged and it was delivered after 5.

So if you get a shipment confirmation a week before christmas you should get it on time. Hope this helps.

You can read all about what has happened over on the XDA dev forum as there is an 800 long list on there.

For UK orders on the 4th Dec Google got the shipping backwards, for those that ordered on the 4th the ones who ordered late on ie well after 5 have been getting their phones first leaving the people that got in just after 5 and were quoted with a 3-5 day delivery still waiting for phones.

It took a deluge of calls from folks to Google who were seeing people with longer lead times getting their phones first for the situation to change.

The UK CEO of Google Dan Cobley has been liaising directly with forum members on the XDA Dev forum to sort this mess out and basically has done just that.

Now 3-5 dayers are seeing their playstore orders showing as complete as of the 15th of DEC and their credit cards showing a pending charge.

I am in this situation also, I was a 3-5 dayer and had not received my phone, my credit card has now been authorised as Google have requested payment which should mean my phone ships in the next day or so.

It seems that folks who were quoted 1-2 weeks delivery are also going to get their phones before xmas as the CEO has promised just that.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that I ordered mine on the 4th, with an estimated shipping of 1-2 weeks, and just received an email saying that it had been dispatched.:D:D
 
I ordered mine on the 5th and I'm not due to get it until next month now (16th Jan). My order status has changed to pre-order now as well. :(

Edit...look what Santa (disguised as TNT) brought me!
